Prevent Duty and Radicalisation Policy

Our staff are regularly updated on current legal guidelines regarding Child Protection and the procedures that need to be followed in response to a concern.

We have stringent recruitment procedures. All new employees are subjected to an enhanced DBS disclosure, are required to have a minimum of two references and have a thorough induction period before being left unsupervised with the children.

Safeguarding Guidelines and Working Practices

In addition to our policy and how we would respond in the circumstances of a Child Protection Issue, we have high standards of day to day practice that contributes to the safety of children. These are:

  • Secure premises with coded entrances
  • Internet safety
  • Mobile phone restrictions
  • Regular staff training
  • Child protection information displayed throughout the setting (for staff and parents)
  • Confidential record keeping
